Renovations

The last 18 months for Helmsley Sports Club Charity have been very busy as our main focus has been to renovate our Main Pavilion that was erected over 55 years ago.

2024

Work started in September 2024 and was completed in four months by local tradespeople. We replaced the floor, ceiling, lighting, shutters, doors, and windows, revamped the electrics, and refreshed the kitchen with new appliances, stainless steel worktops, and new flooring.

2025

In 2025 we replaced the main pavilion roof and installed 26 solar panels, battery storage, an inverter, and a new electrical distribution board.

2026

In 2026 we are extending our sustainability efforts by removing our LPG gas storage and expanding our battery storage capacity so that the main pavilion, bowls and tennis clubhouses are powered largely by renewable energy.

2027

In 2027 we aim to replace the roof on the bowling clubhouse, subject to funding being secured.
